THE TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING (GENERAL PERMITTED DEVELOPMENT) (ENGLAND) ORDER 2015
NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF AN ARTICLE 4(1) DIRECTION WITHOUT IMMEDIATE EFFECT RELATING TO LAND WITHIN HARLOW TOWN CENTRE
DIRECTION UNDER ARTICLE 4(1)
NOTICE IS GIVEN that the Harlow Council has confirmed a Direction under Article 4(1) of the Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) (England) Order 2015 ('the Order').
The Direction was made on 21 January 2020 and confirmed on 12 March 2020 and applies to land and property known as:
1) Harlow Civic Centre;
2) Essex County Council, Watergarden Offices;
3) Beaufort House;
4) Aylmer House;
5) 2 East Gate;
6) Mitre Buildings;
7) Rothwell House;
8) Westgate House;
9) 2-3 Wych Elm;
10) 13-26 Wych Elm
The Direction applies to the development described in the following Class of the Order-Schedule 2 Part 3 Class O namely development consisting of a change of use of a building and any land within its curtilage from a use falling within Class B1(a) (offices) of the Schedule to the Use Classes Order, to a use falling within Class C3 (dwellinghouses) of that Schedule.
The effect of the Direction is that the permission granted by Article 3 of the Order shall not apply to such development and such development shall not be carried out within that area unless planning permission is granted by the Council.
A copy of the Direction and the plan defining the area to which it relates may been seen at the offices of the Council at Civic Centre, The Water Gardens, Harlow, Essex, CM20 1WG during normal office hours or can be viewed on the Council's website.
The Direction will come into force on 12 March 2020.
