Real Madrid came from behind to win 2-1 at Bayern Munich in their Champions League semi-final first leg.

Joshua Kimmich beat Real goalkeeper Keylor Navas at his near post after 28 minutes as Bayern defied the loss to injury of winger Arjen Robben and defender Jerome Boateng, but Marcelo equalised after 44 minutes.

Half-time substitute Marco Asensio struck after 57 minutes to give Real, who are seeking a third straight European Cup, the advantage ahead of next week’s second leg at the Bernabeu.
