Roller Derby action to take place in Borehamwood

Hertfordshire Roller Derby’s competing team Hell’s Belles Roller Girls are in action at Aldenham School in Borehamwood on Saturday.

The Belles have been competing in a tournament called End Of The World Series throughout 2012. This is the first tournament of its kind in this country and features derby teams from three different counties.

The Belles will face Bedfordshire Roller Girls in this weekend's match which gets underway a 3pm.

Roller derby is a highly competitive, fast, athletic, full-contact sport played on quad roller skates.

Roller derby is not for the faint hearted as the full-contact element means that players are allowed to use their bodies to obstruct the opposing team and forcefully hit them out of play on skates.
