Borehamwood BC had a marvellous three-shot win against Townsend in their latest County League match on two rinks.
They triumphed 44-41, with Alan Rose, Dave Mooring and Ken Sharp, skipped by Arthur Moseley, winning 24-19.
Pat Talbot and Anita Prosser are through to the third round of the Watford & District Pairs, after seeing off opponents from Croxley Guild 25-14, while Margaret Moseley had a thumping win in the second round of the Watford & District Singles, against Bridie Edwards of Bushey BC (21-8).
In the Watford & District League, Borehamwood threw away a huge lead against North Watford and finally had to settle for a 61-61 draw.
Their successful rink was Dickie Daniels, Danny Agras and Peter Job, skipped by Roy Edwards.
However, the club gained revenge for their away defeat at Oxhey earlier in the season, gaining full points in the Watford & District League return match.
The two winning rinks in the 65-48 triumph were Alan Rose, Bryan Mayson and Ken Sharp, skipped by Dave Winter (23-13), and John Roe, Barry Coles and Mick Glover, skipped by Don Putman (32-7).
