Comments (0)Borehamwood BC gained an excellent win over Batchwood BC in a mixed friendly on four rinks.
Their three winning rinks were Joyce Wrigley, Lesley Martin and Eve Middleditch, skipped by Fred Paine (20-19); Eileen Mason, Alan Rose and Brian Mayhew, skipped by Dave Middleditch (18-10), and Chris Martin, Pat Stephens and Pat Talbot, skipped by Roy Edwards (22-7).
Though Borehamwood lost one of their two rinks against Shire Park in the County League, John Roe, Danny Agras and Don Putman, skipped by Roy Edwards, thumped their opponents, winning by a massive 34 shots to three. It meant they triumphed by 20 shots overall.
Borehamwood rounded off a highly successful week with an excellent win in the Watford & District League at Bushey by five shots overall, though their only winning rink was Alan Rose, Mick Glover and Don Putman, skipped by Dave Winter.
