Boreham Wood will have to do it all again tomorrow night after being held to a 0-0 draw by Maidstone United in the FA Trophy first round on Saturday.

On the back of three straight defeats, including back-to-back league losses, Luke Garrard's side improved against their National Legaue colleagues, but were still not at their best in a dour draw.

Morgan Ferrier had been expected to recover from injury to re-take his place in the hosts' squad, but was forced out with a concern during the warm-up.

Elsewhere, Garrard made two changes, dropping Ben Nunn and seeing Conor Clifford absent from the squad altogether.

Neither side really got going before the break and chances were at a premium, but Bobby-Joe Taylor struck just over for the visitors from 25 yards out.

Angelo Balanta saw two half-chances blocked for Wood before Jamie Lucas headed over the bar, before the chance of the opening half followed shortly after.

Again it came from Maidstone, with Taylor forcing a good save from Grant Smith following a long throw.

After the break, the visitors found themselves under pressure at last with Anthony Jeffrey the fulcrum of their good work.

But despite their attacking intention, there was even less action after the break; and the stalemate remained in tact, forcing tomorrow night's replay.
