Tabard slumped to a 34-5 defeat at Fullerians on Saturday in their London Two North West and Tankard double header.

The visitors started brightly and good pressure resulted in Fullerians conceding an early kickable penalty. Harry Gough was unlucky with his shot at goal as he struck the upright.

The referee then awarded a penalty deep in to Tabard territory which was comfortably converted to give Fullers a lead after 13 minutes.

Fullers added to this when they drove over for the first try of the game seven minutes before the break. The conversion made it 8-0.

The hosts took advantage of the extra time being played by the referee to register their second score. This was a penalty try awarded when the scrum were adjudged to have stopped the home side's drive illegally. The conversion made it 15-0 at half-time.

Tabard were still within touching distance and with Gerald Arasa leading the backline from the fly-half position were prepared to play open rugby.

The second half started with a good break by Jonny Aguila which resulted in a penalty to Tabard. The ball was kicked for the corner but scrambled defence allowed the hosts to clear their lines and take play in to the Tabard 22.

Fullers gained their second penalty try when the Tabard scrum was again pulled up for illegally stopping the home side's drive.

The successful conversion took the score to 22-0 after 17 minutes of the second half. Tabard were reduced to 14 men after the third injury in the front row which meant scrums became unopposed.

The numerical advantage was taken advantage of by Fullers as first their full back and then their stand off found the way to the line for two more solo efforts.

Liam Glynn scored late on for Tabard but it was just a consolation.
