Former Boreham Wood assistant Jason Goodliffe has returned to the club to assist Luke Garrard in a staff re-shuffle which will see a new goalkeeping coach and a new director of football appointed.

Goodliffe, 41, previously assisted Ian Allinson and played with current Wood manager Garrard at AFC Wimbledon.

Discussing Goodliffe's appointment, Garrard told the club's website: “I felt I needed somebody I could trust, somebody who knew me and, most importantly, somebody that I wanted to work with.

“I wanted an assistant who could work with Junior Lewis and I out on the training pitch and I think we’ll make a very strong and united management team.

"Goody and myself have had a long chat about what has been built since he was last at the club, we also spoke about what we need to achieve for the remainder of this season and what to date have been our strengths and weaknesses.

“He is in a position where he can help me, help himself and help the club get to where we want to be. I’m really looking forward to renewing acquaintances and working with him again."

But the changes will not stop there. Boreham Wood have also revealed they are looking to appoint a replacement goalkeeper coach after James Courtnage left following the switch to day-time training. They are also seeking a to appoint a director of football.
