Boreham Wood boss Ian Allinson has bolstered his squad ahead of this evening's National League clash against Bromley by adding former Tranmere Rovers forward Mustafa Tiryaki, though he has not received international clearance to play.

The Hackney-born forward also lists Maidenhead United and Havant & Waterlooville among his former clubs. He had been on trial with League Two promotion hopefuls Luton Town during pre-season and featured against Wood at Meadow Park.

Speaking to the club's website, boss Allinson said: “I’m very happy to bring Mustafa here and thought we’d secured his services on a number of occasions. I’m just happy our patience has paid off and that we’ve finally got the deal over the line."

He continued: “Mustafa is big, strong and runs the channels well, he also gives me options to play him either as a lone striker or in a two and our squad needs that.

“We now just need to get his international clearance through as soon as possible and he can go straight into my squad.

"As always I’m very thankful to our chairman for backing me on this and understanding this signing really helps me rebalance our squad after losing striker Jamie Lucas to a hamstring injury up at Tranmere Rovers."
