Boreham Wood face Luton Town tonight in their second pre-season friendly at Meadow Park tonight (7.30pm kick-off).

It was agony and ecstasy for the two sides at the end of the season as they had differing ends to the 2014/15 campaign.

Whilst Wood won promotion to National League via the Conference South Play-Off Final, Luton just missed out on the League Two play-offs and John Still's side go into the new season hoping for a sustained promotion push.

Ian Allinson’s Wood started their pre-season campaignat home to former National League South side St Albans on Saturday, the game ending in a 0-0 stalemate.

The Hatters got off to a good start in their pre-season games with a 1-0 win against Portuguese side Farense and then a 2-0 win against Lowestoft Town on Sunday.

Luton have been busy in the transfer window already and have made 11 signings already, including West Ham United defender Dan Potts and Bournemouth striker Josh McQuoid.

However, last season’s top scorer Mark Cullen has left the club to Blackpool for a fee of £180,000.

Watford fan Craig Mackail-Smith is also on trial at the club and the Hatters will be looking to sign the ex-Brighton & Hove Albion hitman, who scored 27 goals for Peterborough United in the 2011/2012 season.

Luton have also added Norwich City midfielder Cameron McGeehan on an undisclosed fee and he is expected to feature in tonight’s game.

Luton Town from: Craig Mackail-Smith, Paddy McCourt, Josh McQuoid, Nathan Doyle, Danny Green, Mark O’Brien, Dan Potts, Cameron McGeehan, Luke Gutteridge, Zane Banton, Luke Wilkinson, Scott Griffiths, Alex Lawless, Steve McNulty, Elliot Justham, Pelly Mpanzu, Matt Robinson, Jonathan Smith, Isaac Galliford, Craig King, Stephen O’Donnell, Mark Onyemah, Mustafa Tiryaki, Luke Trotman and Curtley Williams.
