Boreham Wood’s Play-Off Final match-winner Junior Morias has signed a new contract with the club.

The Wood striker fired the club into the National League after scoring an extra-time winner in their Conference South Play-Off Final against Whitehawk last month.

Morias initially joined the club on a short-term loan from Wycombe Wanderers two years ago but was recalled by the club after his impressive Wood form.

He was released by Wycombe at the start of last season and was brought back to Meadow Park where he has played a key role in helping the club win promotion.

Wood manager Ian Allinson said: “I’m really excited that we’ve managed to get this deal over the line. As I explained to Junior’s representative, the Conference National will be a big step up in class from where we’ve been.

“I’m convinced Junior can bridge that gap and if he continues to work hard and listen to me, he will not only surprise a few defences but he’ll earn himself another crack at league football.”

  • Meanwhile Wood have confirmed their pre-season game against Arsenal has been altered. They were due to host the Gunners on Saturday, July 25 but it has been brought forward to Friday, July 24 at 7.30pm.

The club have announced their season ticket prices following promotion. Adult tickets will cost £260 while OAPS will be priced at £200 and £115 for Under-16s.

Anyone who purchases an adult or concession season ticket will also recieve a free ticket to the Arsenal friendly.
