Arsenal Ladies midfielder Jordan Nobbs has signed a new long-term contract with the Gunners, whilst three players have left the club ahead of the new Women’s Super League season.

Nobbs, who joined the Gunners from Sunderland in 2010, has netted an impressive 20 goals in just 46 outings for Arsenal, who play at Boreham Wood’s Meadow Park.

However Niamh Fahey has left for Chelsea Ladies and Yukari Kinga and Shinobu Ohno have both returned to former employers INAC Globe in Japan.

Speaking to the club’s website about her new deal, Nobbs said: “I’m excited to have signed a new contract with Arsenal. There’s a great feeling around the team heading into the 2015 season.

“We feel we can come back to challenging on all fronts this year and I’m looking forward to being a part of that.”

The 22-year-old from Stockton-on-Tees has won 16 full caps for England, scoring three goals for his country since making her debut in September 2012. Nobbs won the 2009 Under-19 European Championship with England, scoring in the final of the competition.

Manager Pedro Martinez Losa added: “Jordan has developed into one of the most talented young players in the country since joining Arsenal in 2010.

“She has fantastic technical ability and a great character too. She has a great future in the game and I believe she will be one of the best players in the women’s game for a long time to come.”

Meanwhile Republic of Ireland international Fahey has agreed to join Chelsea ahead of their first season in the Women’s Champions League.

The 27-year-old defender won four league titles, two FA Cups and two league cups during her six-year stay with Arsenal, which included last season’s FA Women’s Cup.

Thrice named the FAI Women’s senior international player of the year, Fahey joined the Gunners from Irish side Salthill Devon in 2008.

World Cup-winning Japanese duo Kinga and Ohno have both returned to their homeland to joined Nadeshiko League side INAC Globe.

The duo joined Arsenal in 2014 and made 11 and ten Women’s Super League appearances respectively, whilst helping the Gunners lift the FA Women’s Cup and reach the WSL Continental Cup final.
