Boreham Wood forward Lee Angol has been named as the Conference South's player of the month for November.
The winger-cum-striker, who is on a season-long loan at Meadow Park from Luton Town, is the division's top scorer with 15 league goals in 18 starts after scoring twice in Saturday's resounding 3-0 win over Hayes & Yeading United on Saturday.
Speaking after receiving his award, Angol said: “This award really does mean a lot as I'm working everyday to improve my game. I appreciate that though this is an individual award, so much credit must go to my team mates and manager as they have been fantastic.
"It’s a special thing to know that your performances are being noticed in the most positive way possible. So it’s all good at the moment and i'm loving it."
The official awards panel commented: “November saw Boreham Wood move to the top of the Vanarama Conference South. Their elevation to top spot was achieved through the striking prowess of Lee Angol, who clearly demonstrated top clubs need a top striker."
Ian Allinson's side were unbeaten in five Conference South fixtures in November, with Angol scoring four times for the Wood.
