Radlett started their Herts Premier Division campaign in style with a comprehensive 213-run win at Sawbridgeworth.

The visitors were put into bat first and opener Kabir Toor chipped in with a useful 26.

Fraser Crawford and Shane Burger enjoyed a superb 168-run partnership for the third wicket. Burger was eventually dismissed for 77 while Crawford notched an exceptional 127 off 106 balls.

This left Radlett on 246 for four but solid unbeaten scores of 26 from Chad Barrett and 39 from Rob Clements helped the visitors finish their innings on 314 for five.

Sawbridgeworth had no answer to Radlett’s bowling as they slumped to 93 for seven.

Charlie Mann impressed taking four wickets as the hosts were dismissed for 111 in 31.3 overs.

Radlett are due to entertain Hemel Hempstead Town in their opening home game this weekend.

Radlett Seconds slumped to a 43-run defeat to Ickleford in Division Two.

Their opponents were dismissed for 88 in 44.1 overs but Radlett failed to take advantage of this as they were all out for just 45 inside 20.5 overs.

The Thirds also fell to a 120-run defeat against Harpenden Thirds in Division Five.

Radlett Fourths crashed to a nine-wicket defeat against Old Albanian Seconds in Division Seven.

Meanwhile Shenley Village were unlucky not to win their Division One opener at home to Luton Town & Indians.

Shenley scored a total of 259 for six from their innings. In reply, Luton were on the brink of defeat but survived on 131 for nine.

Shenley Village visit Broxbourne this weekend.
