Boreham Wood's game with Ebbsfleet was delayed for more than 20 minutes as the teams waited for a replacement referee to travel from his home after an injury to the initial man in the middle.
Unbelievably, the corresponding fixture between the two teams in September also resulted in the referee going off injured and a supporter from the crowd needed to be used as linesman after a message over the tannoy.
On Saturday, Boreham Wood were leading fourth-placed Ebbsfleet in the Conference South clash when referee Steve Daly pulled a calf muscle in the 38th minute and could not continue.
With no replacement on hand, the players left the field as a local official, Matt Ball, was called from his home to stand in for the remaining 52 minutes.
The match finished 2-1 to Boreham Wood, who are now 14th in the table.
