Boreham Wood have received a boost after Arsenal youngsters Austin Lipman and Anthony Jeffrey agreed deals to extend their loan spells at the club.

The talented attackers have made a big impact at Wood and the Gunners have allowed the pair to stay with the Conference South side until the start of March.

Forward Lipman moved to the club at the end of October and helped Wood to a 6-0 thrashing of Chelmsford City in his first match.

Lipman has scored three goals in 12 appearances for Ian Allinson’s side.

Jeffrey moved to Wood at the start of December on an initial one-month deal.

The youngster quickly found his feet with the club as he netted five goals in seven appearances.

Both players will be hoping to steer Wood to their first home league win since September when they host Dorchester Town tomorrow.

Wood have failed to win any of their last six league games at Meadow Park.

But Allinson’s side have not been in action since December 28 when they won 3-1 at Bishop’s Stortford.

Wood know it is a big opportunity to climb away from the relegation zone this weekend when they face bottom side Dorchester Town.

Allinson’s team are currently 17th in the table and are six points above this weekend’s opponents having played a game more than them.

Boreham Wood have only managed to win five of their first 21 matches which has left them at the wrong end of the table for most of this season.

The side are only two points above the relegation zone and will be determined to put some distance between the sides at the foot of the table.

Wood will have to manage without the suspended Greg Morgan and Mark Jones after the pair were sent off at Bishop’s Stortford.

It is a busy week for Allinson’s side as they also take on Havant & Waterlooville on Monday night.

The club have confirmed the rearranged dates for their postponed matches over Christmas and the new year.

Wood will host Farnborough on Monday, January 27 with a 7.45pm kick off after last weekend’s game was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

The side’s trip to Concord Rangers, which was meant to have been played on New Year’s Day, has also been rescheduled for Tuesday, February 11 at 7.45pm.
