A 95th-minute equaliser from Danny Woodards earned Boreham Wood a late Christmas present as they drew 2-2 at Eastleigh last night.
In-form James Constable fired the hosts ahead inside eight minutes, but Morgan Ferrier, back in the Wood side after injury, levelled up shortly after the break.
Anthony Jeffrey forced a smart save as both sides looked to press on for the lead, but it was the hosts who did so with nine minutes left.
Mikael Mandron grabbed his 18th of the season from the penalty spot after he was brought down just inside the Wood area - but there was still more drama to come.
Eastleigh midfielder David Pipe almost embarrassed himself in stoppage time, nodding a Boreham Wood cross just wide of his own post, before Woodards went one better to finish off a goalmouth scramble with only seconds to go.
The point takes Luke Garrard's side back up to 9th in the National League table, and eight points off the play-off places.
