Boreham Wood boss Ian Allinson has boosted his striking options with the signing of Luton Town forward Jason Banton on a month's loan.

The forward, 19, becomes Wood's second striking addition in quick succession after former Tranmere Rovers targetman Mustafa Tiryaki joined on a free transfer.

Speaking to the club's website, Allinson said: “I saw a fair bit of Zane last season out on loan and he is developing nicely.

"He will add options to my squad as he is different to what I’ve got and as we have now gone from evening to day time training, I’m sure he’ll settle in very quickly."

Banton has spent time out on loan at Concord Rangers and Hemel Hempstead Town in National League South previously and also has six first team appearances to his name for the Bedfordshire side.

He netted three times in 15 Conference South outings for Hemel last term.
