Herts Premier Division leaders Radlett consolidated top spot after thrashing Sawbridgeworth by ten wickets on Saturday.

The visitors were in ruthless form as they destroyed their opponents to stay 37 points clear of closest challengers North Mymms.

Sawbo were put into bat after losing the toss and they were left shell-shocked after being dismissed for just 44 in 15.5 overs.

Departing captain Shane Burger returned figures of three for 11 but the star bowler was Randeep Sanghera after he claimed seven for 32 in an exceptional performance.

In reply, Fraser Crawford finished on 30 not out and Kabir Toor scored 11 not out as Radlett claimed victory in only 5.5 overs.

It was Radlett’s sixth consecutive win ahead of this weekend’s game against Leverstock Green.

Radlett Seconds were knocked off top spot in Division Two A after losing by 29 runs to Northwood.

Their opponents scored a total of 272 for five and Radlett fell short as they were dismissed for 243.

Shenley Village are just one place above the bottom two after a two-wicket defeat to Hoddesdon in the Championship.

After winning the toss, Shenley opted to bat first but could only score 155 all out in 41.1 overs. Charles Thurston hit 31 and Lloyd Willingham scored 28. But the rest of the team struggled until Paresh Kerai came in at ten and scored 60 to give the side some hope of troubling their opponents.

Hoddesdon made hard work of the run chase but eventually reached the target for the loss of eight wickets.

Tom Bruce returned figures of three for 11 while Thurston claimed two for 50 and Nikhil Borkhatria picked up two for 39.

The result leaves Shenley Village looking over their shoulders with two games of the season left.
