Leaders Radlett thrashed Bishop's Stortford by nine wickets in their Herts Premier Division match on Saturday.

Bishop's Stortford were dismissed for 122. Rob Clements fared best with the ball as he took four wickets.

The score was never likely to be enough against the title challengers and Zimbabwean Fraser Crawford led Radlett to victory by scoring a season's best 73.

The win has put Radlett 20 points clear of second-placed Harpenden ahead of this weekend's game against North Mymms.

Radlett retained the Watford Observer Fourteen14 Shield after a seven-wicket win over Abbots Langley in the final on Tuesday night at West Herts.

After Abbots won the toss, Radlett were put into bat. Two wickets in as many balls from Randeep Sanghera reduced the opposition to 43 for three.

Ben Martin then picked up two quick wickets to reduce Abbots to 65 for five. An excellent display in the field ensured Abbots Langley could only post a total of 103 for seven off their 14 overs to leave Radlett in the driving seat.

Radlett got off to a solid start in reply as they reached 32 without loss off the first four overs of their innings. Chris Chellew took two wickets in two balls but Radlett steadied the ship to reach 60 for two.

Although the side lost one more wicket, Radlett comfortably reached the target.

Radlett Seconds claimed a six-wicket win over Watford Town to maintain their lead at the top of Division Two A.

Simeon Cohen took six for nine as Watford Town were dismissed for 85 and Radlett needed just 14 overs to win.

Shenley Village suffered a 38-run defeat to Langleybury in the Championship.

Langleybury opted to bat first and managed to score a total of 174 out. Nikhil Borkhatria took four for 39 and there were two wickets apiece for Oliver Andrews and Charles Thurston.

Shenley Village struggled during their reply and disappointly fell short of the target as they were dismissed for 136 in 49.2 overs.

Thurston hit 22 and Lloyd Willingham struck 47 for the side. Paresh Kerai finished on 44 not out but this was not enough for Shenley to avoid slipping to defeat.

Shenley Village will look to bounce back from the loss this weekend when they take on Reed.
