Boreham Wood have made their second signing of the week after bringing in Brentford midfielder Tyrell Miller-Rodney on loan.

Miller-Rodney joined Brentford on a scholarship four years ago and earned his first professional contract in 2013.

The combative midfielder’s performances in the Under-21 development league secured him a one-year Bees contract extension until this summer.

Miller-Rodney has featured in 11 development squad matches and made nine appearances in Under-21 league games.

The 20-year-old enjoyed a loan spell last season at Maidenhead United which initially sparked Wood’s interest in the player.

The Conference South leaders have also re-signed Daryl McMahon from Ebbsfleet United, three years after he left Meadow Park.

Allinson told the club website: “I’m very happy to have secured the signing of Tyrell, as he did have other clubs vying for his signature.

"We are now entering the business end of the season and we will certainly need a strong squad of quality players, who are fresh, mentally tough and ambitious if we are to give ourselves a chance of achieving promotion."
