A teenager from Herts Phoenix Athletics Club is to compete in the 100m at the English Schools Athletics Track & Field Championships next month.
Eden Davis, 15, has set a number of personal bests in recent weeks, which has led him to being chosen to represent Hertfordshire at the Championships in Birmingham on Friday, July 11.
The Yavneh College student only started sprinting in October last year and has quickly become a rising star in the county.
Davis was invited to the Bedford International Games Open in May where he finished second in a time of 11.07 seconds.
He then beat that time earlier this month at the Hertfordshire Schools’ Championships, posting his current personal best of 10.90 seconds.
