Tabard were unable to build on victory over North Walsham last weekend after going down 81-12 to Colchester on Saturday.
Fourth-place Colchester were rampant, scoring 13 tries and eight conversions to secure maximum points.
Colchester were ahead inside a minute, a training ground move from a line-out allowed Dave Philp to ease through the Tabard defence and score.
John Davitanivalu had a hand in each of the next three tries. He set up Matt Smith and Tom Jepson before touching down himself to earn the bonus point.
Fly-half David Higgins was next to get in on the act, collecting Jon Vine’s pass to score under the posts.
Tabard did get one back before the break, Jack Reilly scoring to bring the half to a close with Colchester 31-7 ahead.
Colchester were relentless in the second half, Calum Irvine breaking from a scrum to start the move which saw Philp get his second and Colchester’s sixth.
James Crozier got the first of his two tries soon after, racing from the halfway line to score the first on the counter-attack.
Reilly got his second try for Tabard, but it was little more than a consolation as Crozier bagged his second to further extend Colchester’s lead.
Replacement full-back Damien Brambley wasted little time following his introduction, scoring with his first touch.
Philp selflessly set up Ollie White to score the 11th, before Irvine and then Connor Austin – on his home debut – brought up further scores to complete a resounding victory.
