Wood meet The Romans for the second time in a week this Saturday. They will be looking for revenge after losing to the only goal in a game of few chances. It is imperative that Wood start to put points on the board given their current position just two points off the bottom of the table.

It has been a League campaign of under achievement thus far. Reflecting on the Bath game last Saturday Wood Boss Ian Allinson said, “ There were only two chances in the whole game so we have nothing to fear. They put theirs away and we were thwarted by an excellent save.”

It will of course be a different story on a bigger pitch ( think Carlisle) with the Somerset side sure to line up differently at home. The lack of goals scored has been Wood's Achilles heel so far this season save the 0-6 drubbing handed out to Chelmsford City. Hopefully the loan signing of Anthony Jeffrey from Arsenal will go some way to addressing the issue. He scored one and made one in our 2-3 Herts Senior Cup game at Berkhamsted midweek before withdrawing with an injury. Fingers crossed he is fit and raring to go down at Twerton Park this weekend.

Bath City v Boreham Wood Saturday December 7th, kick off 3pm.

Mayday Trust Park, Twerton, Bath. BA2 1DB.
