A host of records and personal bests were set at Hertsmere Flyers Swimming Club championships on Saturday.

Elisha Kramer clinched a new age group record in the 100m butterfly, Adam Colyer posted a new best in his age group and county qualifying times in the 50m breaststroke and 50m butterfly while Chloe Jacobs set new records in the 50m backstroke and 100m backstroke.

James Thornley (50m Freestyle, 100m individual medley), Kimia Baradaran (50m freestyle), Alicia Slater (50m backstroke, 100m backstroke), Adam Martin (200m individual medley), Daniel Rinkhoff (50m butterfly), Max Mydat (100m freestyle) and Joshua Foreman (50m freestyle and 200m freestyle) all set new county qualifying times.

Allie Foreman knocked 11 seconds off her 50m freestyle personal best and 7.9s off the 50m backstroke. Natasha Tan set PBs in the 50m freestyle, 50m backstroke and the 100m individual medley by 9.7s.

Euan Kilpatrick took 9.9s off the 50m freestyle and 9.2s off the 50m backstroke while Erica Shuker (100m butterfly), Ben Mitchell (100m individual medley), Freya Bigland (50m breaststroke) and Cameron Miller (50m breaststroke) all secured PBs.

Emily Press (200m freestyle), Olivia Barton (100m breastroke and 100m freestyle), Peter Oakley (100m breastroke), Kyla Rogers (100m freestyle), Gemma Newman (100m freestyle) and Saniya Singh (100m freestyle) also recorded PBs.

Hertsmere Flyers also dished out their annual awards at The Venue in Borehamwood.

Dani Cramer was named best overall swimmer. James Thornley was the most improved boy while Natasha Tan was recognised in the girls’ category.

Best boys bagcat was Daniel Schindler while Chloe Jacobs took the girls’ award.

Adam Colyer won the boys youth award and Kramer was selected for the girls.

The Major League best boy went to Jay Munkley while Jacobs was named best girl. In the Peanuts League, Josh Foreman and Hannah Newman were recognised.

Jacobs finished first for high points with Schindler second and Tomer Amit in third spot.
