Ellie Baker won the Under-17 800m at the England Athletics National Indoor Championships.
The 14-year-old Townsend School pupil competed at the National Indoor Arena in Birmingham and qualified from her heat in second place with a personal best time of 2.16.67.
The Borehamwood youngster was sitting in fourth place with 250m to go in the final but finished the end of the race in 29 seconds as she managed to hang on and claim the title in a time of 2.21.48.
