Boreham Wood will hold their annual Community Day on Saturday when they entertain Hayes and Yeading at Meadow Park.

The club hope to introduce new people within the local and wider community to the team and to give families and youngsters the chance to see a football match at a price that they can afford.

All Arsenal adult season ticket holders will be able gain entry to the match free of charge on producing their season tickets.

Free entry will also apply to every child on the day who is under 16 and also to all OAPs and members of the armed forces who show their military ID card.

Wood have also arranged free coaching on the Astro pitches for four to 12 year olds from 12.30-2pm.

After the coaching sessions the kids will be able to have a free bite to eat in the clubhouse before the match.

The club have already sent out over 2,000 tickets into 11 primary schools for all the local school kids and the parents and guardians.

Boreham Wood are also appealing to any of the sports or local youth clubs in the area who they have yet to speak to.

If you are interested in coming to the game and supporting the initiative call them on 0208 953 5716 and speak to Loretta Browne in the community office to book your tickets.
