Leak needs urgent action

While driving up Cowley Hill, I noticed a trickle of water coming out of the road and I didn’t think anything more of it.

However, as time went by I noticed it was getting worse by the day and during bad weather the trickle came out faster and turned to ice.

Last week when I turned into Gates Head Road I went into a dangerous skid and if there had been anything coming in the other direction I would have hit the other vehicle head on.

So I rang the water company on the emergency leak line and got through to a nice lady.

When I told her of the leak and my near-miss, she said it had already been reported by others, even including the police following a road traffic accident.

I asked when it was going to be fixed and was told it was on the list but not where on the list. Was it second or 50th? I said it should be a top priority.

So come on water bosses, get it fixed before someone is killed or severely injured.
