Almost 180 people attended The BBC Elstree Concert Band’s 25th concert at Allum Hall, Elstree, this week. The band was co-founded by flautist Ian Marshall in the Eighties and gave its first public concert at the BBC’s Elstree Studios in July 1987.
The 45-piece band presented a programme of live music from Glen Miller, to seasonal favourites including White Christmas, and was part of a series of events organised by Elstree & Borehamwood Town Council in the lead-up to Christmas.
