I have attended at least 45 Remembrance services in my life. I am from a military background and have given over 35 of my years to public service. I supported the service at Shenley on Remembrance Sunday, a long with many other villagers.
Can someone please explain why the cenotaph in Shenley must be the only one in Britain where the Last Post is not played after the two minutes’ silence? Also missed was the Lord’s Prayer, which I am sure many of our lost brave men would have been reciting as their last words.
