Elstree and Borehamwood will be oversubscribed with entertainment as we celebrate our town festival.
Amongst all the exciting events taking place there will be a flower and produce show held in Allum Hall, Elstree, once again, as there has been for the past 50 odd years.
The show is staged by a small society of garden enthusiasts who eagerly plant, nurture and exhibit the most beautiful and healthy looking flowers and vegetables grown in their garden or allotment, or even on their patio or windowsill. Long months of fierce and variable weather conditions and creepy crawlies do not deter them from their efforts to become a winner of a shiny trophy presented by the town mayor at the end of the annual summer show.
This year, as we compete with other attractive events, we appeal for the public to show support and appreciation of all the hard work put in to displaying the beauty and expertise in this tranquil spot.
Visit us from 1.30pm tomorrow to enjoy the exhibits, craft stalls and relax with tea and cake and chat with a gardener. We look forward to seeing you.

Chairman, Borehamwood and District Garden Crafts Society
