So the Oaklands College site is to be redeveloped, along with an additional 125 new flats and houses for social housing, and is “excellent news for everyone” according to its principal.

I have raised my concerns about the Melrose Avenue traffic calming scheme with the authorities, but I do not believe my objections will be acted upon, to the disadvantage of the majority of road users.

Speed tables slow traffic down

It was interesting to read the comments from Mrs J Robson and Sophie Reeves who live in Brook Road, Borehamwood, so vocally supporting the campaign to slow traffic down along this stretch of road by implementing physical measures to reduce vehicle speeds.

Friday prayers: We have not moved location

The Borehamwood Islamic Society is reponsible for the Muslim community Friday prayers, which are held at Allum Hall, at Allum Lane Community Centre, in Allum Lane, in Elstree, every Friday at 1pm.

Speed humps are the best solution

As someone confined to a wheelchair, I need the help of a district nurse once each day and a carer twice a day. The District Nurses operate from their centre in Elstree Way.
