An eclectic mix of celebrities is set to appear in the new series of Dancing On Ice which, as in previous years, is to be made at Elstree Studios in Borehamwood.

Set to be presented again by This Morning duo Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby, this series of Dancing On Ice will feature:

Emily Atack (Paul McCartney's comedy actress niece)
Sharron Davies (former Olympic swimmer)
Bobby Davro (actor, comedian)
Mikey Graham (Boyzone)
Hilary Jones (TV doctor)
Heather Mills (ex-wife of Paul McCartney)
Tana Ramsay (wife of TV chef Gordon Ramsay)
Jeremy Sheffield (Holby City)
Sinitta (singer)
Hayley Tamaddon (Emmerdale)
Danniella Westbrook (EastEnders)
Danny Young (Coronation Street)

The new series will see former Spice Girl Emma Bunton replace West End singer Ruthie Henshall on the judging panel. Bunton will join Jason Gardiner, Karen Barber, Robin Cousins and Nicky Slater.

It has also been reported that former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham will make a guest appearance on the show in order to lend support to Emma Bunton.

Former Posh Spice's reported appearance on the show makes this blogger wonder if the rest of Bunton's former band mates will also turn up at Elstree Studios during the series!

As with previous years, Dancing On Ice will share the George Lucas Stage complex with Celebrity Big Brother. The latter starts on Sunday 3rd January 2010 and will be the last CBB to be broadcast by Channel 4.

Personally, I am supporting TV actor and comedian Bobby Davro to win!

Davro's most-recent TV work in Borehamwood saw him playing Vinnie Monks in EastEnders over at BBC Elstree. His time on Dancing On Ice will mark his first return to Elstree Studios since he worked there on Peter Kay's 2007 video for the Comic Relief charity single of I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles).

Ironically the training rink for Dancing On Ice, where "Jayne Torvill & Christopher Dean train a team of nervous celebrities", is housed in Stage 5, the same stage that was used for Kay's hit pop video.
