Another week, another pedestrian suffers a serious accident in a Borehamwood street.
John Cooper's courage in dusting himself off and speaking out about his accident is commendable.
He should be fully supported in his attempts to raise awareness of the dangers facing blind and partially sighted pedestrians.
It is now time for our borough and county councillors to accept that there is much to be done to make our streets safe, not only for elderly and vulnerable residents, but for us all.
