Millions are expected to tune in to watch the new Big Brother contestants settle in at the famous house in Borehamwood today.

The fifth series of the hit reality show, which is being filmed at Elstree Film and Television Studios, in Shenley Road, will be launched on Channel 4 at 10pm.

Twelve contestants will be filmed moving into the house, where more than 50 cameras and 40 microphones will record their movements 24-hours-a-day.

For nine weeks the eyes of the nation will be fixed on Borehamwood and the television production company behind the show Endemol is promising the series will be better than ever.

This year the house has been designed to be very difficult to live in and each of the rooms has been made much smaller.

New additions to the house include a pampering room where housemates will be treated to potions, waxing and other treatments, an all-new spa area with an outside shower, mudbath and glass walled toilet.
