HERTSMERE Borough Council is asking residents for input on its gambling policy as it reaches its three-year review.
The policy came into effect in September 2007 in line with Government legislation. The council prepared a gambling policy and statement, explaining how it will operate the licensing scheme for the next three years.
Phil Andrews, principal licensing officer, said: "Premises that hold any form of bingo, betting shop, amusements with prizes, gaming machines permit or a small society lottery are affected by the gambling policy.
"It is vital that those people affected have the opportunity to feedback their views on how Hertsmere deals with licensing."
All responses must be received by Saturday, August 1, when consultation ends. Where possible, and in accordance with the Gambling Commission Guidance and the Gambling Act, responses will be incorporated into the policy.
There is an online questionnaire on the council’s website at hertsmere.gov.uk/councildemocracy/consultations to take part.
