The sound of church bells echoed across Ridge on Sunday, during a special bell-ringing session in the village.
Members of the community gathered at St Margaret’s Church, in Crossoaks Lane, to mark the tenth year since the church bell tower was restored after being awarded lottery funding.
The two-hour event inside the 13th Century building included volunteers taking up the post of bell-ringer.
Three of the church’s bells date back to 1749. Three further bells were added in 1998.
Joan Badger, bell tower captain and church warden, said: "What we desperately need is anyone who is interested in taking part in the bell-ringing. We need a group of ten each time as there are six bells and one person can’t keep ringing for the whole time.
"We meet every Friday from 5.45pm to 7.25pm and people are always welcome to join us."
