Children were attacked by a gang of thugs.

The two victims aged 11 and 12 were assaulted in Aberford Park before 4pm on Sunday, July 23.

The boys were heading from the park across a bridge from Brook Road, Borehamwood when they were attacked.

The first victim had the back of his head slapped and the second boy was pushed in the chest after a row with the gang of teenagers, who left in the direction of Brook Road.

The first offender is described as a black or mixed race young man wearing a top with writing across the chest, and the second offender was a young man wearing an orange top.

Police from Hertfordshire Constabulary are appealing for information and witnesses.

Police Constable Ruth Cash said: “Luckily the younger boys were not injured during the incident but I am very keen to speak to the two older boys described, and anyone who was in the vicinity at the time who may have witnessed something.”
