A charity is hosting an event to teach parents and children the dangers on the internet.

Enough Abuse UK deliver assemblies and lessons about how predators use games and apps on the internet to access children.

Their upcoming event in Potters Bar is aimed to help parents and teachers change their behaviours to prevent their children from being victims of child exploitation.

Victoria Weddle, headteacher of St Peter's C.E Primary School in Blackburn, spoke highly of the resources provided when the charity visited them.

She said: "The content of the assembly and training have provided us with resources to support our teaching of online safety and child sexual exploitation at school and gave our parents a realistic insight into the dangers of social media. "Many of my parents and staff made immediate changes to their own and their families use of social media websites and their use of IT equipment in the home."

The free event takes place on June 7 and 7pm at the Wyllyotts Centre, Potters Bar.
