The flags will fly at half-mast at Barnet Council buildings to mark the tragic attacks in Manchester last night.

Currently it is believed that 22 people, including children, have died and 59 people injured after a suicide bombing at an Ariana Grande concert.

Councillor Richard Cornelius, Leader of the Council, said: “Our thoughts and condolences are with the family and friends of those who were killed or injured in the attack in Manchester last night.

"This atrocity has deeply shocked us all.

“For young people to be targeted in this way is abhorrent and we stand together in support for all those affected.

“We are very proud of our borough’s diversity and we will continue to work closely with the police and community groups to reassure residents that Barnet is a safe place to go about their business and their lives.”

The flags are flying at half-mast at the North London Business Park, Hendon Town Hall and Barnet House.
