Pudsey Bear scrummed down with the Wolf Pack for a special rugby training session, but it sounds like he failed to impress the pros.

BBC Children in Need’s 2016 fundraising campaign is asking people across the UK to Do Your Thing and Saracens players chipped in to raise money for the big day.

Mascot Pudsey paid a visit to Barnet club Saracens’ training ground in St Albans to meet with players Billy Vunipola, Richard Barrington, Jackson Wray, Jim Hamilton, Juan Figallo and Petrus Du Plessis.

Across London Children in Need funds 406 projects, including Saracens Sport Foundation which provides dance sessions to young people on the autism spectrum and those with additional support needs.

The team are encouraging fans to show their support for the charity.

Billy Vunipola said: “Having Pudsey down to join us in training today has been great fun, although I’m not sure he’s going to make our first team any time soon.

“We’re supporting Children in Need and we want everyone to get behind the campaign and do your thing to fundraise for the charity!”

From fancy dress to fun runs, facing a fear or taking on a once in a lifetime challenge, holding a bake sale or completing a sponsored silence, everyone can turn the ‘Thing’ they most fancy doing into an fundraiser.

Children in Need will broadcast on Friday November 18 on BBC One.

The official fundraising pack is available for download from bbc.co.uk/Pudsey with ideas to help people with their fundraising efforts.
