THE OWL was the final Gruffalo character to come to life in Edgware’s Broadwalk centre this summer.
Children created a colourful and life size owl creature as part of Marvellous Monday sessions that ran throughout August.
Arts and crafts workshops were run alongside the decorating, as children made their own Gruffalo themed puppets, masks and collages.
Four different sculptures of characters from the Gruffalo book have been created this month, including owl, fox, mouse and the Gruffalo himself.
The Gruffalo monster will make a special appearance on bank holiday Monday between 12pm and 4pm.
Angela Brooks, manager at The Broadwalk Centre, said: “Our Marvellous Mondays programme has been a huge success and we have been delighted with the number of local children that helped create our wonderful Gruffalo themed sculptures ahead of the character’s appearance next week.
