A previously failing care home in Aldenham has been rated as "good" by the health care watchdog.
The Care Quality Commission (CQC) carried out an unannounced inspection in June, of Delrow Community, in Hilfield Lane - a care home for adults over 65 with mental health conditions.
Prior to this inspection, the CQC identified that people at the care home did not properly record incidents of abuse and violence or consistently respond appropriately to such allegations.
Inspectors also found the staff were not trained to the appropriate standard to deliver care and treatment safely.
A report of the latest inspection, published on September 9, stated that the care home is now meeting all standards.
Inspectors stated: "We found that the management and staff had worked hard in the past 18 months to try and ensure that people who lived within the Delrow community were supported."
The report states that the service is well-led and people were treated with "warmth, kindness and respect". Staff also knew how to recognise, report and respond to signs of abuse and care home users had a diverse range of engaging activities to take part in.
