Rotarians toasted their former president at their annual dinner.
Barbara Kennedy finished her year as the leader of the Elstree and Borehamwood Rotary Club in June.
The group held an evening in her honour at Laura Ashley, The Manor, in Barnet Lane, Elstree.
Her successor is Steven McNicholas, who was handed the chain of office earlier this month.
Mrs Kennedy presented the Paul Harris Fellowship award to Richard Leslie, which is given to members who have served their communities “exceptionally well”.
Member Chris Watts was also given two Sapphire awards at the ceremony.
