Hertsmere Borough Council has agreed to freeze its share of council tax for the seventh year running.
The Conservative-controlled authority voted not to raise the amount it charges at its meeting yesterday.
An average Band D property in Hertsmere will be charged just over £157 in council tax - the equivalent to 43p per day - across the 12 months from April.
Councillor John Graham, who is responsible for finance and property, said: "The money we receive from council tax pays for the day-to-day services that are important to residents like waste management, street cleaning, housing and planning. It will also be used to continue to fund Police Community Support Officers in the borough and a debt advisor for the Citizens Advice Bureau."
Hertsmere Borough Council also agreed at the meeting the council’s budget for 2015/16.
