A councillor has stood down from his role.
Dan Griffin left his post as Conservative representative for Aldenham West on Hertsmere Borough Council with immediate effect on Friday.
Cllr Griffin was first elected in 2007.
His replacement will be elected in the next council election on May 7.
In a statement, council leader Cllr Morris Bright said: "Dan Griffin has chosen to step back from Hertsmere Council.
"As leader of the Conservative group and of the council, I have passed on much thanks to him for his eight years service and will be thanking him and all councillors standing down or not reselected to stand in May at the April full council meeting."
