Seven organisations are sharing nearly £14,000 to help improve the health of Hertsmere residents.
One-off grants of up to £3,000 were offered to community and voluntary organisations, social enterprises and charities for initiatives to support health and wellbeing in the borough through a new public health fund.
Community Action Hertsmere, Nysa, Give your town the run around, Groundwork Hertfordshire, Community Learning Partnership, Saffron Green Primary School in Borehamwood and Mencap have all been successful in getting money for a variety of projects.
A total of £13,850 was awarded.
