A volunteer who does her utmost to support everyone despite health problems has been praised for her work.
Clare Monahan was presented with an award in recognition of her services to the community by Elstree & Borehamwood Town Council on Wednesday.
Ms Monahan volunteers with Community Action Hertsmere, The Vibe Youth Project and other community events.
Mayor of Borehamwood Pat Strack said Community Action Hertsmere was “extremely lucky” to have some helpful, skilled and resourceful volunteers.
Ms Monahan also volunteered for the 2012 Olympic games, the Paralympics and the Glasgow Commonwealth Games.
She received a town council plaque and certificate of achievement during the meeting.
