Radlett schoolgirls had the “best night of their lives” after winning a national competition.

Jessica Spillman, ten, and best friends Sophia Coyle, ten, and Jessica Hines, nine, received an experience to remember after winning a radio competition.

The Newberries School pupils entered an online video competition with Capital FM earlier this year, shooting a video of themselves singing It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas.

The trio were announced as the UK winners for their efforts and won tickets to the Jingle Bell Ball, hosted by Capital FM and Morrisons, at the O2 Arena on December 6.

Along with the free tickets, the girls also received a backstage tour of the arena and were given the opportunity to meet X Factor boy band Union J.

Speaking after the concert, the girls said: “It was the best night of our lives."
