A forthcoming amateur dramatics show has received a boost of £250.

Elstree Productions Theatre Company received £250 from the council towards its production of 'A Slice of Saturday Night' at the Radlett Centre.

The amateur dramatics company plans to use the money towards publicising the show.

Company member Helen Claydon said: "This is great news and we thank local councillors for their support which has helped us publicise the production with full colour flyers, posters and programmes."

The money comes from Hertsmere Borough Council's ward improvement initiative scheme, which provides every councillor in the borough with funds to grant to local projects.

Councillors Clive Butchins and Farida Turner gave £100 respectively, with Councillor Richard Butler adding a further £50 to the funding pot.
